I am a Young Earth Atheist!

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

The world is about 200 years old, not 6,000 as Young Earth Creationists claim!

Initially, this seemed not to fit with current scientific/historical evidence. So we did some theorising in order to sustain our primary concept.

We now think that time itself was compressed in the beginning, in a ‘Big Boom’ event which squashed time so that eons were squeezed into seconds and the Earth was formed by matter rapidly collapsing onto an ‘invisible pink hole‘ phenomena, causing the increase in chronological acceleration.

We do not deny Darwinian Evolution by means of natural selection. Nor do we deny the scientific methodexcept for that which may contradict our view on the world being 209 years old. But we do think this may be taken into account considering our ‘time-crush‘ theory.

We do not wish our view to be taught in schools, but think it would be rather nice if it were incorporated into nursery rhymes for pre-school children.

Therefore, we are now living in the year 209! YEA!

Our acronymic motto, Y.E.A., is synonymous with the colloquialism of the English word ‘yes’: ‘yea[h]‘ – the most positive word South of the North Pole*.

Let me hear you say ‘YEA!’.

(We are expecting a century bug in our devices in the year 300, when conventional computers will click over to the year 2100. For those worried about their digital watches, we are sure a sticker will be available on eBay nearer the time. There is no need for widespread panic, please..)

*(Unless a group starts up called ‘Young Earth Secularists’, which would leave us more than a little peeved.)
